The living room is the largest part of the house. In addition to the dining room, the living room is a place where family members can come together, as well as a place to watch TV or read books. It is also a place of friendship where we greet guests who visit our home.

In the house, the entrance and corridor have a strong character of a "path" where families or guests enter the house. But the living room is 'house' and 'inside' itself.

The living room, which serves these purposes and uses simultaneously, is the highlight of

the interior and lighting of the house. As a result, when building a house, the living room

is at the center of the design, which is also the place where the most budget is spent.

'Living Room' is the Center of House Interior and Lighting Design

When designing the interior and lighting of such a living room, the first thing to think abo-ut is what role the living room should play in our home. This may be used as a living roo-m.

This is why it is important to select a few uses of the living room because it is necessary

to design the living room frequently in terms of 'the living room.' For example, a family wi-th two children before entering elementary school would have to include the role of the children's play area in the living room. In this case, the most important keyword in this livi-ng room is "safety for children."

On the other hand, if the person living in this house is a 40-year-old businessman, the livi-ng room of this house will often be used as a place to meet and talk with employees or b-usiness partners.

It would be reasonable to design a living room of such a house with the first consideratio-n of the purpose of welcoming and welcoming several guests. The interior, furniture, fixtur-es, and lighting of this living room should also be designed to adequately accommodate the purpose of this living room.

With that in mind, there are three things to note about the interior and lighting design of the living room. First is the window. In fact, windows play a very important role in the livin-g room.

The windows occupy the largest area of the living room wall, and the arrange-ment of fur-niture, fixtures and lighting depends on the location of the windows. Therefore, where and how to place the windows is a key factor that influences the interior and lighting design of the living room.

In general, the window of the living room is often facing south in Korean homes. As a resu-lt, the sofa is often placed opposite the living room window or on the left or right side of the window. In this case, the TV is placed opposite the sofa.

As such, the layout of windows, sofas and TV sets are related. The arrangement of these w-indows, sofas and TV sets usually determines the location of the living room's main lighti-ng fixtures, walls, and reading lights next to the sofa.

In this regard, it is concluded that the core of living room interior design must be execute-d in the order of space plan, furniture plan, lighting plan, decoration plan, and green inte-rior plan.

The most important part of the living room interior is the finishing plan and the color pla-n. The ambience of the living room varies greatly depending on how the finish is promote-d and how the colors of the ceilings, walls, and bases are selected. It is the finishing mate-rial and color plan of the living room that determine the size, material, and color of the f-urniture to be put in the living room.

Finishing materials for the living room are wood, wallpaper, and fabrics. Colors can be cho-sen from warm colors like red and orange, cool colors like blue or white, or pastels like b-eige, pink and green.

The interior design of the living room can be divided into classic, modern, and retro styles. There are also natural, romantic and minimalist styles, and there are also Nordic styles that are in the spotlight these days.

However, the styles that are used a lot in the interior of the living room, as mentioned ab-ove, are the most beloved in Korea, such as modern and classic styles, and Neutro (retro) styles that are in their 20s and 30s. If you add natural, romantic, or minimalistic styles to t-hese three styles, you will be able to create an interior of your favorite style.

The atmosphere of the living room depends on the lighting

In the interior of the living room, lighting planning is as important as finishing, furniture, a-nd color planning. There are three lighting plan points in the living room. The first is a livi-ng room lamp for general lighting installed in the center of the living room ceiling.

Living room lamps come in many varieties, but they can be divided into three categories. Classical crystal chandeliers, LED flat lighting fixtures, and so-called interior lighting fixtures that resemble Italian decorative lighting fixtures.

In the past, many crystal chandeliers were installed, but as the price of LED flat light fixtur-es decreases, nowadays, many LED flat light fixtures are entering a new apartment living r-oom. A well-designed interior luminaire is preferred by younger generations who want to escape the simplicity of LED flat light fixtures.

In addition to the main lighting, the lighting fixtures in the living room include a supportin-g bracket (wall light), a small reading stand on the table next to the sofa, and a cabinet st-and on the floor of the living room. These brackets, small stands and long stands influenc-e the atmosphere of the living room and complement the lack of interior light.

These living room lighting fixtures have different roles. But these light fixtures come toget-her to create the atmosphere of the living room. In the end, the interior of a good living r-oom is completed by lighting with appropriate color temperature, brightness and color re-ndering.
