The new production facilities designed by Lissoni Casal Ribeiro for the Sanlorenzo shipyard in Ameglia (SP) have just recently been inaugurated.

The intervention introduced a contemporary architectural code aimed at reaffirming its

strong industrial imprint: each of the new buildings possesses a defining architectural

element and uses a combination of materials, such as cement and metal, that make

explicit reference to the industrial idiom.

The project envisages a second phase, the restoration of the historic buildings on the

same site, in order to give aesthetic uniformity, paring the industrial aspect back to its

essentials and unifying the vocabulary through colours and new finishes, in seamless

continuity with the recently completed renovation and redevelopment of the shipyard in

La Spezia.
