It is clear that 2020 will be recorded the year of the most dramatic event in the history of world lighting. This is because 'Corona 19' occurred last year and spread all over the

world. As a result, the world's lighting industry and market were simultaneously hit hard.

Most of the world's major lighting exhibitions, which were held every year, were not held. The Frankfurt International Lighting Exhibition (Light+Building 2020), which was scheduled to be held in March 2020, eventually abandoned the event after delaying the holding date several times. The exhibition is scheduled to take place two years later, in March 2022.

The same was true for the Hong Kong Spring International Lighting Exhibition. Fortunately, the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition was held online and offline. However,

many foreign companies and buyers rarely participated in the exhibition.

Lighting manufacturing companies, lighting product sales companies, buyers, and

consumers are key elements of the world lighting industry and market. And it is the

lighting exhibition where they meet and do business. Therefore, the absence of a lighting exhibition means that the world lighting industry and market are cease.

As most of the international lighting exhibitions were not held last year, lighting

companies and companies hosting lighting exhibitions around the world suffered a huge

loss in terms of sales.

However, even now, when Corona 19 has progressed for more than a year, the situation

has not changed significantly. Corona 19 is still in progress, and lighting exhibitions

around the world are still not open. As a result, the trade between the world's lighting

companies and countries has not escaped from the downturn.

Of course, in the meantime, a vaccine to overcome Corona 19 was developed and

vaccination was started in some countries. However, it will still take a long time for people to travel abroad freely. That's because 70-90% of the world's population needs to be

vaccinated and become immunized. When will the collective immunity be achieved? Now you will have to say, "No one knows."

Is there any way to save the world's lighting industry and market?

This reality seems to be a harsh fate for lighting companies around the world. This is

because lighting exhibitions, a market where global lighting product manufacturers and

sales companies meet and trade, are no longer held.

As a result, lighting manufacturers around the world have difficulty selling new products

even when they develop. Lighting distributors around the world have also found it difficult to obtain information on new products to sell.

Therefore, the development of new products decreased, and sales of lighting products

decreased. Many lighting companies are experiencing a crisis due to a decrease in sales

for more than a year.

What is the way to overcome this reality? How can lighting product manufacturers

scattered around the world meet buyers who will buy their products? How can lighting

product distributors around the world get information about new lighting products to sell to consumers?

The answer is to create a “place” where all lighting companies and products intelligence in

the world can be viewed all in one place and at once. If we could only do that, through

the “place”, we will be able to exchange all intelligence with each other.

And, based on the lighting business intelligence obtained in this way, we run a real

lighting business that buys and sells lighting products from each other. And the one that

can do this best is the specialized “International Lighting Newspaper”.

All industries in the world revolve around companies, products and intelligence. And

'news' is the 'Verified intelligence' through the media. It is the 'newspaper' that collects

and delivers the 'news'.

The' news', first reported in the 'Newspaper', are again spread to governments, local

governments, public companies, public institutions, lighting companies, lighting stores,

and consumers around the world through TV, radio, magazines, the Internet, and

smartphones.

As a result, demand for new lighting products is created. And the sales and profits of

lighting companies around the world increase. The global lighting industry and lighting

market will also work well.

“Getting intelligence” is more important than “Selling” and “Buying”

Of course, there are also online marketplaces in the world where you can sell lighting

products. For example, international online shopping malls such as Amazon and Alibaba.

However, these online shopping malls aim to buy and sell products. Although products are sold and purchased, there is insufficient intelligence about the products and companies sold here.

Buying or selling products based on inaccurate, inadequate, and unverified information

cannot be a 'Honest and reliable lighting business'. Above all, this “lighting business” lacks the elements of “trust” and “safety” that are the basis of all commerce.

That is why it is absolutely necessary for all lighting businesses to obtain “Verified

Intelligence” about products and companies before purchasing them. Obtaining “Verified

Intelligence” and choosing products and companies to trade based on this “Verified Intelligence” is the right way to do lighting business. We want to refer to this business process as "The classic lighting business."

'World Lighting News' is the center of World lighting Industry and Market

This concept is why we are launching again the world's first international newspaper

specialized in lighting, “World Lighting News,” at this time.

In fact, “World Lighting News” has come a long way to this point. “World Lighting News” was first published in May 27 2010, 11 years ago. However, at the time, there was a

lack of basic infrastructure to create an “English version of the Internet newspaper”.

Therefore, it was difficult for newspapers other than major British and American media

such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Economist, and the BBC to produce and operate properly English-language Internet newspapers.

For this reason, 'World Lighting News' had to be operated as 'experimental' using the

homepage service provided by an English-language internet portal such as Google.

Fortunately, however, after much effort, we were able to secure a professional “English

Internet newspaper publishing  system” this time. So this time, 'World Lighting News' was

launched entirely by using a professional internet newspaper publishing system.

Through this work, we have experienced and realized a very important fact. That is, even

today, almost a generation after the opening of the Internet era, it is very difficult to

create a “specialized English-language Internet newspaper site” unless you are a large

international media company such as The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, and

The Washington Post.

This is because it requires cost, time, and manpower that are difficult for a “lighting

newspaper” specialized in a specific field of lighting. And this situation can be said to be

the same in the world's lighting business.

This is why we are launching again a new “World Lighting News” as a proper, specialized,

international, English-language lighting newspaper.

In the future, a 'Ecosystem' where many lighting product manufacturers, sellers, purchasing organizations, purchasing companies, and consumers around the world exchange

intelligence with each other, advertise, promote, and order or sell lighting products.

I sincerely wish these things really happen.

We hope that “World Lighting News” will connect lighting manufacturers, vendors, and lig consumers around the world as one. Until our ideals of ▲one lighting newspaper, ▲one

lighting network, and ▲one lighting world come true, we will continue to advance toward our goals. We want to always be with you on the way.
