Recently, a high-ranking official of the Korean government said that in order to overcome the crisis of “Corona 19” and grow into an industrial country with global competitiveness

in the future, the “Korean version of the New Deal” should be promoted.”

In order to achieve this goal, the “Korean version of the New Deal Plan” proposed by the Korean government is based on ▲Digital New Deal ▲Green New Deal ▲Reinforcement

of social safety net ▲Balanced regional development. To promote this “Korean version of the New Deal,” the Korean government announced a plan to invest a budget of 160

trillion won in the future.

Of course, the government came up with a countermeasure called the “Korean version of

the New Deal” to get out of the “Corona 19 crisis,” which is a good thing even if you think about it a hundred times.

Of course, opinions may differ depending on the viewpoints on how likely the “Korean

version of the New Deal” will be successful as the Korean government thinks. Nevertheless, there is no need to diminish the meaning of the fact that the Korean government has

its own plans to prepare for the future.

What are the success conditions for the “Korean version of the New Deal”?

However, there should be one area to pay attention to in relation to the Korean

government's “Korean version of the New Deal”. It is how faithfully the plan to build the

infrastructure for the Digital New Deal and the Green New Deal is prepared in the “Korean New Deal Plan”.

If the “Korean version of the New Deal” plan has a well-established plan to build the

infrastructure necessary to achieve the goals of the Digital New Deal and the Green New Deal, it would be good to say that the possibility of success of this “Korean version of the New Deal” is high.

However, if the infrastructure construction plan is poor or does not exist at all, it will not

be too much to say that the “Korean version of the New Deal” is unlikely to succeed.

This is because Digital New Deal or Green New Deal, which are the core goals of the

“Korean Version of the Green New Deal” proposed by the Korean government, are

businesses that can succeed only if the relevant infrastructure is faithfully equipped before starting a business.

Compare this to the lighting business. Digital New Deal or Green New Deal corresponds

to making finished products such as lighting equipment. However, to make a finished

product, the parts must be properly stocked. To make a part properly, you have to create materials and equipment before that. These are the infrastructure required for the lighting business.

To make any business or finished product, you first need to make parts. To make a parts,

you must have the equipment to make it. Materials, which are the raw materials for

making parts, must also be made in advance.

If you think about this reason, you can see that the digital new deal or the green new deal that the Korean government intends to achieve can only be successful if the business is

started after the infrastructure is in place.

The lighting business also needs infrastructure

However, does this principle only apply to the “Korean version of the New Deal” that the Korean government is trying to promote? Of course, the answer is ‘No.’ This is because

the same principle applies to lighting companies that are doing lighting business around

the world.

Again, for example, to make a good lighting fixture, you need to have good lighting

components. Good lighting component design skills and materials are required to make

good lighting components. There must also be equipment for producing parts with good performance. You also need high-quality raw materials.

After these things are properly prepared, skilled workers must assemble the parts

elaborately to make a good lighting fixture. There is something we shouldn't miss here. It

is a fact that humans do all the work of designing lighting fixtures, designing parts, assembling parts and creating finished lighting fixtures.

However, in order to cultivate such competent and skilled workers, it is necessary to put a lot of time and effort into education, training, and skills. These are the infrastructures of

the lighting business.

Putting these points together, an answer to what the world's lighting companies should

do in the lighting business comes out. To summarize the answer briefly, it is "prepare the

infrastructure first, and then assemble it to make a finished product."

Nevertheless, how many lighting companies do this in the global lighting industry? In

particular, in the global industry trend where OEM, ODM, and import sales are rampant.

But doing a business without infrastructure is like growing a tree without roots.

If you do business in this way, you cannot make a product that differentiates you from other companies. And if there is no differentiated product, the price of the product cannot be high.

If you can't get a high price for a product, you'll have less profit from your business. It

would be good to say that this is the root cause of the increasingly shrinking business of

the lighting industry and lighting companies around the world these days.

Therefore, we would like to recommend that lighting companies around the world have a good business infrastructure, rather than trying to assemble and sell one more lighting

fixture.

That is the ultimate technology for lighting companies to survive, and is a shortcut to

vitalizing the lighting industry and lighting market around the world. “There is no road to

the lighting business other than this,” we think.
